Dream Team Couch – 2008 AFL Dream Team Blog

Once again the world of AFL Dream Team was cast into disripute on the weekend after possibly some of the best price improvements this year as well as some of the biggest drops. Let’s start with the people you may actually want:

Chris Masten (WCE) – this guy was picked at no. 3 in the 2007 draft and after a slow start is starting to prove himself.  He racked up 96 points last round – more then the likes of West Coast ’superstars’ Dean ‘no’ Cox (85) and Daniel ‘im a wan’ Kerr (65). Last Round he went a massive $44,800 and with a break even of -22 he quite likely to go up even more!

Garrick Ibbotson (FRE) – picked at no. 26 in 2005 draft this guy taken his time to make an impact. BUT with a score of 99 and a price rise of $44,700 i reckon this guy should be considered. Why? First of all he has Break Even of -50, secondly he was spending some time in the middle and thirdly he is a back! Finally, a emergency back who may just actually get a game!

And of course the losers of this week…

Daniel Kerr (WCE) – on no a tagger, poor me, im so frusrated, i can’t touch the ball, maybe i’ll just headbutt someone…..WHAT THE HELL DANIEL KERR!! 65 on the weekend and a drop of -$31,700 is just sooo bad for one of the game’s ‘elite’ midfielders. Overall he has plummeted to 133 on the overall rankings, has gone down -$91,800 and will go down further with a break even of 118 he will fall further. Oh yeah and he is suspended for 3 weeks excluding the tribute match.

Jonathon Brown (BRIS) – disgraceful. simply a disgrace this year. He has dropped -$106,200 including -$14,300 this week. He scored 59 points and will go down further with a break even of 137 as he is averaging 64.67 points per round. The problem? Daniel Bradshaw is stealing his thunder and Browny is no longer the go-to man. Hopefully he gets fired up before the tribute match because at this rate he isn’t going to be selected.
